The Battle Within

September 8, 2010

I often feel that life is an introspective battle of man versus mind with mind winning more often than not. I feel that people as a whole don’t know how to think, how to act and how to be without the influence of the world around them.

That being said we are all products of society and its implications on how we should act, react think and believe. People are not drones though. They have the ability to think, act, react and believe what they feel is right but many don’t because they don’t know how.

I watch people a lot and depending on the situation and environment people act differently. In a perfect world people would know how to think, to act, react, and what to believe. But who are we to determine what is right.

I think that people are complex but I feel once we begin to be okay with our own life we will not feel the need to conform to societal norms.

I would love to say I know how to act/react, think and believe but I don’t. What I do know is that I am working on those things – not for society but for me.

I know that it is a never ending process because we are always changing. I just wish people would do more introspective thinking instead of thinking about the moment.

Life is so complex yet so simple. If it were only that easy.
